high quality product November 16, 2008 Robert B. Blakeley (pierre part,,la) this is the best looking and most high quality grill i have ever owned the burners burn a nice blue flame and can be adjusted to give a very low flame for slower cooking or the grill will get hot quickly when turned up.i love my new grill i have not seen this quality any where else.
Quality stuff! October 3, 2008 M. Warholak (New York, NY) I did a fair amount of research before I bought this grill, mainly because I was really disappointed with the quality of everything I saw at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. Decided to take the chance buying a large item like this, sight unseen and have absolutely no regrets.
It's a quality, great looking grill that cooks exactly as it should. This grill is very well constructed, down to the last detail - even the base wheels are top quality, and there's a nice solid hefty feel when you open the top lid. The knobs are plastic, but even they have a more solid feel than many of the other grills I'd seen.
It did take longer than I thought to unpack and assemble (around 4 hours total), but as you don't get a chance to assemble much these days, I found the process fun. The instructions were very well written and clear. The only issue I had was that the screw holes for one of the panels for the lower cabinet area was drilled incorrectly, so I ended up having to drill four extra holes in the steel to make it fit. The change is invisible once assembled and was easily fixed in 5 minutes. I found it worth the little bit of extra effort to save waiting for a replacement panel, but this might have been aggravating for some. Also, one screw as missing, but I was able to pick one up at the local hardware store for $0.13 <-- put it on my tab, Mr. Bezos! ;)
Vermont Castings BBQ September 30, 2008 Janelle Church (Garden Valley, ID) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is very pretty, but had a few chips on it and the temperature gauge was broken beyond repair. Apparently the company is in Chapter 11, so they don't even take a phone call to get a replacement. It was certainly too heavy to easily send back since it had to come on a large truck which couldn't even get into our driveway! It works very well though and basically I am happy with it.
Amazon to the rescue. September 29, 2008 N. Pauett 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The grill had broken parts and parts which did not fit. Trying to contact the company we determined they were in bankruptcy. We have returned.
Great product for the price! September 18, 2008 William M. Grupe 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Might well have taken as long to unpack as to assemble. Just had trouble assembling the front skirt - had to loosen/remove the sides, then went fine. Probably our 7th propane grill, and is built the best, quite sturdy, flames remarkably consistant, heats up incredibly quick.
