The E-310 gas grill features an enclosed cart with corresponding painted steel doors with stainless steel trim, stainless steel handles and painted side and rear panels. This grill has an accent colored painted steel frame and a porcelain-enameled shroud with a center-mounted thermometer. It also offers accent colored painted, cast aluminum end caps making this grill quite impressive! The cooking system, rated at 42,000 BTU's, includes 3 seamless stainless steel burners and a Crossover ignition system. The cooking grates are porcelain-enameled cast iron. The Flavorizer bars are porcelain-enameled. The primary cooking area measures 507 sq. inches and the warming rack area measures 130 sq. inches, giving a total cooking area of 637 sq. inches! I did a lot of research before buying a grill and I'm glad I chose this one. Heats up really fast, cooks evenly and is a terrific looking grill. Shipping from Amazon was on-time. There is a lot of assembly, though.

Bought this in June '08 to replace my 15-yr old Weber Genesis which, by the way, still works well! My wife talked the truck driver into hauling the shipping carton into the backyard - otherwise it would have been very difficult to move the heavy carton. Took about 2-1/2 hours to assemble but the instructions were well illustrated.
The new Genesis has a bigger grill, is easier to roll around, and cooks evenly. I chose the blue color because it stands out. In fact, a guest at one of our recent BBQs remarked that it looks like a race car and was impressed with the styling!
The electronic starter works flawlessly and the cast iron grill cooks better than the stamped steel grill of my old Genesis. The side burner is a bit whimpy but works adequately.
Although it is MUCH more expensive than other brands, it's well worth the price in quality, robustness and looks.

Happy Griller
The Weber Genesis 310 is a great grill. It is expensive, but worth the money. I almost fell to the theory that I could buy 2-3 cheaper grills over the life of the Weber, but I am so glad I did not. The quality of the construction and the cooking performance are impressive. Having had several cheaper grills enables me to appreciate the Weber.
Building the grill gives you an understanding of the quality parts, but it is the grilling that really makes you glad you spent the money. The grill maintains high temperatures and heats evenly for the best steaks, chicken and vegetables I have ever grilled.
It is tough to spend the $649, but well worth it. I was very pleased buying from Amazon. The free shipping, no tax and the preferred color were nice benefits. The Blue looks good!
