Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
These flat, extra-wide skewers look cool and work even better. Ground lamb and chunks of beef, pork, fish, even wet vegetables, like tomatoes and mushrooms, won't slip or spin, as they do on conventional slender metal skewers. All stainless steel.

4 out of 5 stars Good Quality Skewers   January 6, 2009
Ginny Wiedower (Arkansas)
I ordered these as a gift. They are much larger than I anticipated. The person who I bought them for has used them already to make kabobs and said that they worked well.

5 out of 5 stars Husband is Happy!   December 16, 2008
Joy Pierce (Raleigh, North Carolina USA)
Husband wants to know why I didn't get these sooner! Great for the grill (his job) and easy to prepare with (my job)!

5 out of 5 stars Best Skewers around   December 15, 2008
Cold Ukrainian (Houston)
These are by far the best skewers that I know of. I looked hi and lo for any "flat" skewers and these are what I found and bought them quick. They have worked great. I put onions, green and red peppers, with some chicken on the skewers and it turns out fantastic every time.

Vegetables do have a tendency to break so they take some practice, but it's much better than having your meat not turn when you want it to.

Great product, they end of mine is NOT sharp, in fact I've considered sharpening it more. (maybe the other review had a used, pre-sharpened item?)

5 out of 5 stars Very good skewers.   September 13, 2008
D. Hickey (Dallas, TX)
I'm glad I bought these skewers, they are as-advertised and I expect to get many uses out of them for years to come.

They are sturdy and flat, so it is easy to turn them over without the meat spinning around. We made delicious lamb and chicken kebabs with these. One thing to keep in mind: we did end up buying bamboo skewers for our vegetable kebabs, because these are so wide that the smaller mushrooms and cherry tomatoes I had would've split in two if I tried to thread them on the metal skewers.

2 out of 5 stars Skewer Review   August 28, 2008

While there is no doubt that this is a quality item, I found them to be much too long and unwieldy. They are huge and would only work well on the largest of grills.
I also found them to be difficult to skewer anything with. They are very wide (I know there are narrower ones) but any vegetable I tried to put on them (onions, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers) split almost every time no matter how careful I was.
So I guess if you have a large grill and want to skewer large firm items such as beef or swordfish, they would be great although still difficult to manuever.
